Day 3 - I saw Miss Liberty (She's not married)

It's day three, and we're just about getting really used to the great bustling city of New York. We went to visit what we'd saw all lit up the night before, the Statue of Liberty. We got on a very packed ferry (see pic 1) and then got to Liberty Island, where the wife of a giant stands there all day and all night long, looking at the lightning and holding a torch towards a sun (as if it will just catch fire like that... lol).

We spent about 45 mins there, taking group photos, single photos, posed photos, lying-on-the-grass photos and just looking at her highness the statue. (See pic 2). Ya, for this pic just tilt your head 90 degrees left. just 90 degrees right? no big deal. you can handle it.

ok, then we went to the great centre of commerce of the United states, Wall Street. (see pic 3)This is the Old city centre of manhattan, and it intersects with Broadway. Around the area there's battery park, the Federal Hall (where Washington did his washing, i mean, got sworn in) and a lot of historic buildings.

Next we came to GROUND ZERO. no, don't get me wrong. 'ground zero' doesn't mean there's no ground there, it just means the ground once held the twin towers of the World Trade Centre. THIS IS NO PLACE FOR JOKES. it was very touching, with timelines, memorials, posters, and photos showing the terrible tragedy that was wreaked there in 2001. See next pic.

Then we went to see DINOSAURS. We took the Subway to the Meteropolitan museum of art, took pictures OF THE LOBBY, (there wasn't time to take a look inside), cut through central park and arrived at the American Museum of Natural History. Straight away we zoomed to the Hall of Dinosaurs, where there's the Real-Bone Tyrannosaurus Rex (most of those around the world are just plaster casts). We could even touch the plate of a Stegasaurus!!! It was truly a wonderful experience. (See last two pics.)
