hmm.
We read conversations in graffiti,
exchanges of thought
scribbled in spray-paint on
renovating subways, restoring Cathedrals
and university campuses
under construction –
Some are poetic afterthoughts,
others are transcriptions
of the songs of crows
perching on unlikely branches.
After Frost, Wordsworth, Kipling,
it becomes refreshing –
therapeutic, even –
to consider what the
nameless man has to say.
