Die another day
Dear Readers
(don't mind the title - it's from some random james bond book)
Today's post is a revamp of the other day's poem, 'Call'. Here it's taken on a theme - written to one who needs to get over a rejection or a breakup (: Meant for those whom theokwek knows who do need to, and meant for others to read even if they don't. Enjoy!
we forget the vagaries
of our existence, and
write some of them
ourselves.

Call
Hurry back, time tarries not
As you on troubled shores await;
Come now, sail out these seas of hope
Let not one loss destroy your fate.
Hurry back, comrades pass on
While you at memory’s side do mourn;
This tomb to her who knew you not
Yet whom you loved, for whom you long.
Hurry back, dear friends do pray
In tears for your spirit’s return;
In strength leave this sweet sorrow’s bed
Where souls in muted pining burn.
Hurry back, for mothers search
Their hearts and shelves in vain for thee;
But still you seek in vain for one
Dark swallow that has flown on, free.
Hurry back, a lover cries
That you forget this dimming pain –
And search for she who truly waits
For you in sunshine and in rain.
Hurry back, your own mind calls
A still voice in your troubled brew;
In faith I would to God that you
Let bygones pass, start life anew.
