Abominable Acrostics!

Dear readers,

Headline news - RI's three World Scholars Cup teams swept most of the awards for the Southeast Asian Finals, with Nol Swaddhiwuddhipong as the top scorer, Yao Yuan second and Zhi Yang third. Congrats go to these three guys who impressed the hall with their imba muggerness. A standing ovation goes to Mr. Janus Lim, the teacher in charge.

Keep up the good work guys - we'll need it for the world finals! This is the only time i'll ever use this quote - Do your best and continue the preperation, for THE BEST IS YET TO BE.

On the other hand, while waiting for the award ceremonies, theokwek was composing pseudo-acrostic poems, as shown below. Here are three of his more meaningful, less personal poems. Please read with pinches of salt!

The following two poems are in conjunction with the theme of Frontiers of the World Scholars Cup, particularly with scientific frontiers and the quest for technology and perfection. The second poem also speaks of the imperfection of man and his world. Their titles are the world is flat and Oblate spheroid respectively. FYI, oblate spheroid is the technical term for the shape of our earth.
